The Standard Design Group Nurseries is a motivated team of landscape designer professionals and a sales staff who teamed up with 3rd generation work ethic delivery and installation to create the most complete buying experience for your home or business. Due to the 2025 fires, we do not have a brick and mortar opened at 810 Temescal Canyon Rd at the moment. However, we will continue to offer landscaping via phone appointments or stopping by any of our other Southern California locations. The McDonald’s of landscape design. It’s been a pretty rough experience. We started back in December and worked with a lead designer. He ended up having sickness and delays and excuses. Two months went by and I called the main line. We were assigned a new designer who came out and was very nice. You meet with someone smart who has a nice design, but then that person never comes back again, not even on or after installation day. Obviously that will create issues. Our primary and most expensive plant was wrong. They kindly replaced it after I had to take several photos instead of them just coming out and saving me the time of having to do additional legwork to prove to them it was wrong. Additionally, a few of the plants died and I’m not sure if it’s because of the plant or because the drip system we paid for was done incorrectly. I asked them to test that after two months of trying to reach them getting this set up they finally schedule the time to come. I left work early that day to be here inside their window and they ended up coming early. The crew, again, not with the designer, had no idea what to do. They were planting in the wrong garden and just made a bigger mess of everyt

What a hidden gem… my girlfriend and I stopped in on our way to the Santa Monica Farmer’s Market and Laria greeted us right away and was so fun to talk to. Their setup is beautiful in a concise space. And check out these turf animals. 😅 so fun. Absolutely worth making a destination if you’re looking to explore plant shops/garden centers around LA. I haven’t seen the other locations yet since we are new to CA, but I would imagine they’re even larger and executed equally well. 11/10 would recommend.

I had a fantastic experience here! There's a surprising variety of plants tucked away in this little property, and the young woman who was working there (Sophie) gave me an enthusiastic tour of the place. She picked out a Southern Magnolia for me based on what I was looking for, and gave me some care instructions which have been working out so far. It doesn't hurt that my dog loves the place (and the employees!) I'll definitely be back!

I had the best experience and feel so lucky that Paul Stephan was there to help me! He had answers to all my questions and not only recommended what type of plant would be most suitable for my location but also informed me in depth about the plant and how to best care for it. The kind of knowledge and insights I really appreciate! Big THANKS to him and the Pacific Palisades Design Group Nursery ~ I'll be back!

I love this shop. Kristin is the epitome of customer service and really takes the time to understand your space and what plants will be suitable for the look and feel you are going for. She is so knowledgeable and answered all my questions— as a plant newbie, I had a lot. Highly recommend this business for anyone looking to rejuvenate a home or office space with a thoughtful and functional addition of beautiful plants and greenery …I feel like I have transformed my home and with a little coaching by my plants are thriving!
